I spent the first part of my career (15+ years!) in traditional corporate roles. I had the title, the responsibilities, and the impressive compensation package. But no matter how much I changed jobs, I couldn't shake the feeling of being trapped - of working endless hours with zero appreciation, navigating office politics (oh, how I hated that game!), and trying to get something significant done in spite of all the corporate red tape.

I daydreamed about starting my own business - but could never work up the nerve to actually give it a shot. Those golden handcuffs were tight and I still believed that corporate was synonymous with safety and security (boy, has this past year challenged that notion!). Simply put, I was stuck.

I might have stayed that way, if not for a corporate restructuring that gave me the opportunity (and severance package!) to finally go for it - and to figure out how to build a business doing impactful work, with people I love, and on my own terms.

Goodbye Corporate, Hello Freedom!

So I got to work, leveraging my:

stubborn prove-em-wrong grit +
degrees in psychology, marketing and business +
corporate experience - 9 years of which was spent advising Fortune 500 companies on their business plans, and the last few of which were spent in marketing, strategy and customer experience for a major retailer!

... to build my own my own coaching business!

In doing so, I uncovered a process and built a roadmap to keep me on track, and then to teach other high achievers in corporate to do the same.

Not gonna lie - it wasn't always easy. But no matter the challenges I faced, the freedom, autonomy and flexibility of being my own boss always beat going back to cubicle life!

I stuck with it and in my first full year in business, my sales matched my corporate salary 🤯

Now I truly love what I do and who I get to work with - and the fact that I have the FREEDOM & FLEXIBILITY to do so on my terms.
